Is your home feeling blah after the holiday decor is gone? Bring it back to life with fresh looking greenery and lighted arrangements! At Magnolias, we have several light options ranging from strands of fairy lights to lighted branches in birch or natural! Pick out a premade piece or have our designers create one JUST FOR YOU!
Start by adding an everyday wreath to your front door with battery operated lights on a timer! Next, dress up your mantle with a greenery swag and accent decor for perfect balance. Use boxwood pieces for a farmhouse feel and succulents that are rich in color throughout your house for a fun splash of living green color! Even your own vase can be filled with our lighted branches. Bring it in and blend the light branches with grasses, berry sprays or tiny floral sprays for a light rustic look!
In my daily work of designing window coverings, I have fun finding creative looks for window treatments in peoples homes. Sometimes the perfect shade to control the light, paired with an energizing fabric pattern, can bring the room to life! Take these examples for instance:
We wanted to find a window fabric that brought it more of the green tones in the bedding. We pulled some samples out to determine just how much green to bring in.
(Below:) The Elegant pattern with the right shade of green brought in more contrast to her walls and paired well with existing artwork and bedding. Two short drapery rods were used instead of a large span of empty rod across the wide window. Side panels with a top pleat hang from rings in a nickel finish on 1 3/8 inch custom -cut rods. A great look for very reasonable price!
Sheer shades are perfect for light control and privacy. This design is a 4″ vane in white, a Hunter Douglas Silhouette. For convenience we’ve made it a motorized Powerview shade!
At this home, we added a bit of print to a solid toned kitchen featuring red. Not too much color, the denim toned navy adds just a little bit of warmth and excitement to neutral tones without being too overpowering. A classic combination, the blue is balanced throughout the great room with the roman shade over the sink, valance over the patio door and a pair of side panels in the living room that features a coordinating blue pattern of another type!
The Sheer shades added in this space were Hunter Douglas Pirouettes. The Powerview motorized lift system makes it easy to walk in the room and control shades on opposite sides – all at once!
